Offsite SEO is as important as onsite SEO, the way I see it, they go together hand on hand. Today we will be talking about offsite SEO.

Why doing offsite SEO?

If you would like your website to rank, and to be found in search engines like Google, Bing.. etc, then you need to do offsite SEO.

How to do offsite SEO?

-1- Create a blog for your website, and just write an article a day for example, about your products or anything you are trying to sell or present to worldwide web. That will eliminate all the competitors that don’t update their websites in a regular basis, and it will get you to stand out.

Example: if your website is about Web Hosting Reviews, than pick a topic a day about web hosting, and just write an article about it, and the best way to pick these topics, is by using Google Keyword Tool, and see the most searched titles than write your topic.

-2- Create social network profiles for your website, such us Google Plus, Facebook, stumble…etc. make sure you also share your blog articles in these social networking profiles, that is good for more exposure and for building back links.

When thinking about a website 99% of people think of a domain name before anything else, and it is very important to get the right domain, This is the main and most important step. This is why you find Domains for sale that can cost thousands of dollars, however I never buy these domains but the perfect way to choose a domain is:

Define the idea of the website, and know what exactly your site is about. What crowed are you interested in to draw. Example: Lets say your website is about web hosting. Here is what you should do:

1-    Do a quick search using Google keyword tool , and see what is the most searched Keywords for web hosting.

2-    Get the top 20 searched keywords, import them in an excel sheet and go to Godaddy for example, and do a bulk domain search. If there is any of the domains available then my suggestion is to get that domain. The reason why is because let’s say you found the keyword Best Web hosting is available, and it has 10,000 searches a month, then by building the right website, you can get all these visitors, because that domain is an exact match to what they are searching for. your site most likely will rank for this keyword within no time, and that will be a big help with the offsite SEO.

3-    If none of the keywords is available, then what you would want to do is choose the domain with the keyword web hosting or hosting integrated within your domain. The best practice is to have your Domain starting with your keyword. So in our case I rather choose “web hosting example” than “example web hosting” , and that is the best practice but if you choose the 2^nd option it is not wrong also.

• Choosing The Correct Titles.

Titles in your website are almost as important as the domain. The perfect way on choosing the correct titles, is to do the same keyword search (as you did to choose your domain) thru Google keyword tool. Pick the top 20 titles that are about web hosting (in our case), so for example I just did my search and I found that the top 20 Titles are:

After choosing the titles, the next step is to write an article about your subject titles with no less than 300 words (best practice is to write an article with at least 500 words)

• How Write An SEO friendly Article.

The most important thing is to have an original content. NO DUPLICATE CONTENT.Like we mentioned the article has to be at least 300 words the more the better.

If our title is web hosting, then we have to build our writing around this word, and the best practice is to start our article with that keyword. Example:(web hosting has become one of the leading industries …etc)
We have to make sure that our keyword is repeated few times, when it is appropriate but not too many so you don’t have a stuffed keyword article, that is not good. Best practice is to not exceed 3% of the total words so if your article is 300 words the main keyword or the focus keyword should not be repeated more than 9 times. That is called keyword density, (now if you think that having too many keywords is good than I will tell you think again if you stuff your article of content with too many keywords, then you will end up spamming your own page and no one like that.)
Try to use heading tags like h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, to emphasize on the importance of your keywords. Note (what this means to search engines is that this tag is what your site is about and the importance of the tag is relevant to the heading so h1 is more important than h2, and h2 is more important than h3..etc)
Within your website try to build hyper links when it is appropriate to other pages of your website, and to other websites that can help your pages reputation without causing any harm to it.

Make sure to use easy to understand writing, short phrases, and easy words, because you want to make sure that anyone can understand what are you talking about. You can use this tool here Flesch Reading Ease and make sure your article will score 70% or more.
